BANKIT's Executive Director & COO Mr. Amit Nigam spoke to the Dainik Jagran on "New Age Startup". He said that "A large population of the country has still not been a part of the digital economy and banking system. Due to lack of ATMs and bank branches in rural and semi-urban areas, people have trouble for cash. Bankite does not deliver doorstep cash, but in lockdown our agents and retailers deliver cash to urban and rural customers on demand, taking care of physical distance to their homes. No fee was also charged for this. Apart from this, in the coming days, there is an effort to open more than 15,000 Bankite outlets and branded stores across the country, so that people can have a secure digital payment facility on one platform."
