FasTag Recharge Service Portal & App by BANKIT

FasTag is a reloadable label that automatically deducts tolls and allows vehicles to pass through toll booths without stopping payments. It uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to make cashless payments through prepaid accounts associated with it.

The tag is attached to the windshield of the vehicle, and the RFID antenna in the awning of the toll booth scans the QR code and the tag identification number and then lifts the cantilever barrier to allow the vehicle to pass.

FasTag is valid for five years and comes in seven different colors - purple, orange, yellow, pink, blue, green and black. Assign a specific color to each type of vehicle.

FasTag is the perfect solution for easy travel on national highways. FasTag currently operates at all toll stations on national and state highways. As per new guideline of Highway Authority of India, FasTag will become mandatory for all vehicles to pass the Toll booths in near future.

How fastag works at toll plaza

Fastag is an electronic toll collection system that works seamlessly at toll plazas. It operates through a small RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag affixed to the windshield of a vehicle. When a Fastag-enabled vehicle approaches a toll plaza, the dedicated Fastag lane allows for a smooth and efficient passage. As the vehicle approaches the toll booth, the RFID tag is detected by the overhead scanners installed at the plaza. These scanners read the Fastag details, including the unique identification number and the linked account information. The toll fee is then automatically deducted from the linked account balance or prepaid wallet associated with the Fastag. The transaction is completed in a matter of seconds, eliminating the need for cash transactions and minimizing waiting time at toll plazas. Fastag has greatly expedited the toll collection process, reducing traffic congestion and enhancing overall road travel experience for commuters.
